釋曰：前兩句明因緣，第三句明二緣，第四句結用通前三句也。二因於正滅者，謂相應、俱有二因，於正滅時而興作用。言正滅者，謂現在世，以此滅相居現在故，名正滅時。此言作用，是與果用，由此二因令俱生果，有作用故。

Explanation: The first two lines explain the causal condition, the third line explains the two conditions, and the fourth line concludes the activity, applying to all preceding three lines. 'Two causes [act] at the point of cessation' means that the two causes—associated and coexistent—exercise their activity at the point of cessation. 'At the point of cessation' refers to the present time; because this characteristic of cessation resides in the present, it is called the point of cessation. The word 'activity' here refers to the function of giving effect, because these two causes cause co-arising effects to have activity.
