8.19

唯無覆無記者，三性分別，此五趣體不通善、染，唯無覆無記。過去業所招，是異熟生無記。若通善、染，五趣便相雜，謂一趣中具有五趣業煩惱故。亦不通外器，以外器中通於五趣，共受用故。

"Only unobstructed-neutral": distinguishing according to the three natures, the essence of these five destinies does not extend to the wholesome or the defiled, but is solely unobstructed-neutral (anivṛtāvyākṛta). Requisitioned by past karma, it is the ripened-birth neutral. If it extended to the wholesome and defiled, the five destinies would become intermingled, because within a single destiny the karma and defilements of all five destinies exist. Nor does it extend to the external receptacle, because the external receptacle is shared in common and enjoyed by the five destinies.
