8.27

故識住有七者，總結也。言識住者，識所樂住。若欲、色界，五蘊為體。若無色界，四蘊為體。

"Therefore the stations of consciousness are seven" is the general conclusion. A "station of consciousness" (vijñānasthiti) means that in which consciousness takes delight in dwelling. If in the desire and form realms, the five aggregates are its substance; if in the formless realm, the four aggregates are its substance.
