8.48

釋曰：上兩句答初問，下兩句答第二問。死生二有中，五蘊名中有者，謂死有後、在生有前，二有中間有五蘊起，為至生處，故起此身，二趣中間說名中有。

Explanation: The upper two lines answer the first question; the lower two lines answer the second question. "Between the two existences of death and birth, the five skandhas are called intermediate existence": that is, after death-existence and before birth-existence, the five skandhas arise in between the two existences; in order to reach the place of birth, this body arises, and between the two destinies it is called intermediate existence.
