入胎如燈焰，如引次第增者，正明相續也。譬如燈焰，雖剎那滅而能相續。轉趣餘世諸蘊亦然，名轉無失。故雖無我，但由惑、業以為因故，諸蘊相續入胎義成，如業所引，令胎中蘊次第轉增。次第增者，謂從羯羅藍乃至鉢羅奢佉，名次第轉增也。

"Entering the womb like the flame of a lamp, / it successively increases as projected" directly explains the continuity. For example, just like the flame of a lamp, although it ceases moment by moment, it is able to continue. The skandhas transmigrating to another existence are also like this; there is no error in calling it transmigration. Therefore, although there is no self, solely because afflictions and karma serve as the causes, the meaning of the skandhas continuously entering the womb is established. As projected by karma, the skandhas in the womb successively increase. "Successively increase" means successively increasing from the kalala up to the praśākhā.
