9.33

「最初羯剌藍（此云凝滑，亦云和合），次生頞部曇（此云皰），從此生閉尸（此云血肉也），閉尸生健南（此云堅肉），次鉢羅奢佉（此云支節），後髮毛爪等，及色根形相，漸次而轉增（髮毛等總是第五位，此上是胎內五位也）。」

"First is the kalala (here translated as 'coagulated slime', or also as 'combination'), / next arises the arbuda (here translated as 'blister'), / from this arises the peśī (here translated as 'flesh and blood'), / the peśī gives rise to the ghana (here translated as 'solid flesh'), / next is the praśākhā (here translated as 'limbs and branches'), / after which hair, nails, and the like, / as well as the forms of the physical sense faculties, / gradually and successively increase. / (Hair, nails, and so forth are altogether the fifth stage; the above are the five stages within the womb.)"
