從此第四，以略攝廣，論云：「又應知此緣起支雖有十二支，而二、三為性，三謂惑、業、事，二謂果與因。其義云何？」頌曰：
From here, fourth, subsuming the extensive under the concise. The treatise says: "Furthermore, it should be known that although these links of dependent origination are twelve in number, they have two and three as their nature: the three are defilement, karma, and actual entity; the two are result and cause. What is its meaning?" The verse says:
