9.75

從事事惑生者，一從事事生、二從事惑生。從事事生者，即是事能生事也，謂識生名色，乃至觸生於受也。從事惑生者，即是事能生惑也，謂受生愛也。

"From the entity arise entity and defilement": first, from the entity arises the entity; second, from the entity arises defilement. "From the entity arises the entity" means that an entity can give rise to an entity, namely consciousness gives rise to name-and-form, up to contact giving rise to feeling. "From the entity arises defilement" means that an entity can give rise to defilement, namely feeling gives rise to craving.
