24.5

As for 'Abandoning six is the fruit of the once-returner': if they abandon six categories, they achieve the fruit of once-returner; going to heaven, they return once to the human realm and then attain parinirvāṇa. The fruit of once-returner is also named 'attenuated greed, anger, and delusion', because having already abandoned the heavy upper and middle six categories of greed, anger, and delusion, only the lower three categories remain, so that greed, anger, and delusion are attenuated.
