Regarding "Good, [and of] two kinds of feeling or indeterminate": "Good" refers to the section on the three natures. That is, the nature of the absorption of cessation is solely good; it is not indeterminate or defiled, because it is equitably raised by a good mind. "[Of] two kinds of feeling or indeterminate" clarifies the timing of its retribution. The two kinds of feeling refer to the two feelings: to be experienced in the next lifetime, and to be experienced in a subsequent lifetime. This absorption of cessation extends to [retribution] to be experienced in the next lifetime, to be experienced in a subsequent lifetime, and of indeterminate experience; that is, in terms of retribution, it has [the karma of] feeling in the next lifetime or feeling in a subsequent lifetime. When the verse says "indeterminate", it subsumes two kinds of indeterminacy: first, the retribution is determinate while the timing is indeterminate; second, both timing and retribution are indeterminate. Thus the treatise says: "Either it has indeterminate feeling—here the retribution is determinate and the timing is indeterminate; or it is not felt at all—that is, if one attains parinirvāṇa in a lower [realm], both its timing and its retribution are indeterminate. Just as an arhat, having attained the absorption of cessation, enters parinirvāṇa and does not experience its fruit." This absorption of cessation only attracts the retribution of the four skandhas of the Peak of Existence.
