第二大段，開宗解釋，於中二：先標數開門；後「初是」下，隨門別釋中，十二門則為十二段。

The second major section opens the thesis and explains it, within which there are two parts: first, setting forth the number and opening the gates; second, from 'The first is' below, explaining them individually according to the gates, where the twelve gates constitute twelve sections.
