護法等解：若法決定，有境為主，令心心所取，此所緣及名所依，名通也。此論於所依中，說依名，故云俱有依。

Dharmapāla and others explain: if a dharma definitely has an objective realm and is the master, causing the mind and mental factors to grasp this cognitive object, it is called a basis; the name is general. In this treatise, within the [discussion of] the basis, the name "support" is spoken of; hence it is called the simultaneously existing basis.
