如下第六十三卷中云：若彼末那於一切時思量，為性相續而轉。如世尊說：出世末那，云何建立？答：名假施設不必如義，乃至廣說。

As stated below in the sixty-third fascicle: 'If that manas has calculation as its nature at all times, continuing and turning: as the World-Honoured One said, how is supramundane manas established? Answer: The name is a nominal designation, not necessarily according with the literal meaning; up to detailed explanation.'
