自下明作業中文有二：初、明對五識業，後明不共業。初文有七：一、了自境；二、自共相者，意識證量緣法自相，若是此量知法共相，故正體智證如自相。

Below, in explaining the operations, the text has two parts: first, it explains the operations shared with the five consciousnesses; second, it explains the unshared operations. The first part has seven items: first, cognizing its own object; second, own-characteristics and common characteristics, where mental consciousness through direct perception takes the own-characteristic of dharmas as its object, and if it is this [other] means of cognition, it knows the common characteristics of dharmas, hence the fundamental non-conceptual wisdom directly realizes tathatā as its own-characteristic.
