Where the treatise says "and so forth," under conceptualizing the objective support there is conceptualization with characteristics. If relying on the Abhidharmasamuccaya to subsume them under the three kinds of conceptualization, these are the two: intrinsic nature and recollection, because the five consciousnesses lack intrinsic nature, an essential nature of intrinsic nature, and so forth. Among the seven conceptualizations, spontaneous conceptualization is precisely the five consciousnesses; in this treatise, intrinsic nature conceptualization is precisely spontaneous; and saying "with characteristics" refers to what was previously experienced, subsuming only recollection. Thus, its scope differs from that treatise. Or, both categories may be identical with the Abhidharmasamuccaya: what was previously experienced then subsumes both intrinsic nature conceptualization and recollection conceptualization, because conceptualization with characteristics in the state of the outflowing mind takes as its object the realm experienced during the previous spontaneous mind's abiding. Master Ji judges, saying: This is not as good as the previous explanation.
