1.269

有餘師說：亦加行善，以於文義亦簡擇故。今大乘中亦通加行善，如十住斷結經說：上方妙識佛土眾生受化夢乃得悟，彼佛於睡眠中與諸眾生神識說法，受化之識隨其所應，得成四果乃至獨覺，亦於夢中結跏趺坐而般涅槃，菩薩受決乃至成佛，皆於夢中云云。由此等文，故知亦通加行善。

Other masters say: They are also wholesome states acquired through effort, because they also discern texts and meanings. Now in the Mahāyāna, they also extend to wholesome states acquired through effort, as stated in the Shizhu duanjie jing: Sentient beings in the realm of the Buddha of Sublime Consciousness above, receiving teaching, only achieve awakening in dreams; that Buddha preaches the Dharma to the consciousnesses of sentient beings during sleep, and the consciousnesses receiving teaching, according to their capacity, attain the four fruits up to solitary awakening, and also cross their legs and enter parinirvāṇa in dreams; bodhisattvas receiving predictions up to becoming Buddhas all occur in dreams, and so forth. From texts such as these, we know it also extends to wholesome states acquired through effort.
