Although this text exists, it is unknown how they are accumulated to form the incalculable. If according to the Abhidharmakośa citing the Mokṣa Sūtra which states sixty numbers, there are only fifty-two, eight being forgotten; the fifty-second is named asaṃkhyeya, still accumulating numbers by tens, unlike the Avataṃsaka where from ten thousand upward they always double in accumulation—meaning ten thousand times ten thousand is called a hundred million (koṭi), etc. Because the large and small [traditions] are distinct, their adoption of numbers differs.
