景師云：以儉劫時，有少所食，經時最多；疫病劫中，藥力支持弱故，經時次少；刀兵相殺，七日即盡，經時最少。

Master Jing says: 'During the kalpa of famine, there is a small amount of food, so it lasts the longest; in the kalpa of epidemic disease, because the sustaining power of medicine is weak, it lasts for the next shortest duration; with warfare and mutual slaughter, it finishes in just seven days, lasting the shortest duration.'
