次當於此時五趣世間居住之處下，明器世間壞。起世經云：無天雨澤所有果木，一切乾枯，即有迦梨風，吹八萬四千海水，皆令四散，於下起第二日宮，置須彌半腹等。小乘因此說六日轉光在海下，壞時方出，今者大乘未見文說。

Next, from 'At this time, the dwelling places of the sentient beings of the five destinies' downward, the destruction of the receptacle world is explained. The Qishijing says: 'Without heavenly rain and moisture, all the fruits and trees dry up. Then there is the kālī wind, which blows the eighty-four thousand [yojanas] of seawater, causing it all to disperse in the four directions. Below, it raises the second sun palace, placing it halfway up Sumeru, and so forth.' Based on this, the Hīnayāna says that the six suns revolve with their light below the ocean and only emerge at the time of destruction; currently, in the Mahāyāna, no textual statement to this effect has been seen.
