言意識中所有，由二種因下，若等流意識亦由二因，若等流五識唯由第四染淨意識所引，以無分別故，由此道理故上論說，眼等五識隨意識轉。

Regarding the passage "all that is in the mental consciousness is due to two causes": flowing-forth mental consciousness is also due to two causes; flowing-forth five consciousnesses are induced solely by the fourth, the defiled or pure mental consciousness, because they lack discrimination. Due to this principle, the treatise stated above that the five consciousnesses such as the eye [consciousness] turn in accordance with the mental consciousness.
