"Giving in all modes" means: the practice of giving is complete, and this practice of giving is perfected under all conditions, hence it is called all modes. Thus, it is distinguished from the preceding two expressions of "all." Furthermore, the Tripiṭaka Master says: the initial heading of intrinsic nature generally considers the essence of giving; next, universal giving specifically considers the essence of all giving; all-door giving refers to the preceding causes of giving; giving in all modes clarifies the various differences of giving based on preceding causes, which is called giving in all modes. The explanation of the three "alls" in the five perfections below should be understood according to this.
