安住律儀者,明不破戒也。阿笈摩下,明不破見,舊名阿含訛也。今依梵本,阿笈摩此名傳未即有二義:一者、因能傳果,知因之見,名阿笈摩;二者、教名傳,三世諸佛展轉說故,信教之見,名阿笈摩見。自有於戒破見不破,見破戒不破,俱破不破,行施之人,有此四句戒見不破。俱不破二句是善施,餘之二句非善施也。

"Dwelling in restraint" clarifies not breaking morality. From "āgama" onward, it clarifies not breaking view. The older name "Ahan" is an error. Now, relying on the Sanskrit text, āgama here means "transmitted," which has two meanings: first, the cause is able to transmit the fruit, and the view that knows the cause is called āgama; second, the teaching is called transmission, because the Buddhas of the three periods of time preach it successively, and the view that has faith in the teaching is called āgama view. There are naturally those who break morality but do not break view; break view but do not break morality; break both; or break neither. Practitioners of giving have these four possibilities: not breaking morality and not breaking view, both unbroken, are the two phrases of good giving; the remaining two phrases are not good giving.
