列四中，依修得戒，名從他正受，不依師授要期自淨，名善淨意業。舊論云：善淨心受犯已即悔名還淨，一向涼淨名深敬專念，前二是受，後二是持。

In listing the four: depending on cultivation to obtain the precepts is called "correctly receiving from another"; not relying on a master's transmission but vowing to purify oneself is called "wholesome and pure mental action." The old treatise states: receiving with a wholesome and pure mind, and repenting immediately upon violation, is called "restoring purity"; completely cool and pure is called "deeply reverent and focused mindfulness." The first two are receiving, and the latter two are upholding.
