釋中有二，初約在家出家略明一切戒，二、又即依此下，廣明一切戒。於中復二：初明三聚戒體即是所學；二、居諸菩薩欲於如是菩薩所學等下，明依戒修學即能學。前中有三：初略明受中三聚戒體，二、云何菩薩住律儀戒、住攝善法戒下，廣明持中三聚戒相，第三結之。前中有二：初、總牒開；二、依章別釋。

In the explanation there are two parts: first, based on the lay and the ordained, briefly clarifying all morality; second, from "furthermore, relying on this" downwards, extensively clarifying all morality. Within this there are again two parts: first, clarifying the essence of the three clusters of precepts, which is the domain of training; second, from "dwelling in the training of bodhisattvas who wish to train in such bodhisattva training, and so forth" downwards, clarifying cultivating and training relying on the precepts, which is the capacity to train. In the former there are three parts: first, briefly clarifying the essence of the three clusters of precepts within receiving; second, from "how does a bodhisattva abide in the morality of disciplined conduct, abide in the morality of collecting wholesome dharmas" downwards, extensively clarifying the characteristics of the three clusters of precepts within upholding; third, concluding it. In the former there are two parts: first, generally restating and opening; second, explaining separately according to the headings.
