10.273

又諸菩薩不從一切已下，第三重明受戒方便。即是遠方便故，迴在後說。於中有三：初、簡擇戒師；次、明住戒人量機授法；後、明師簡弟子。前中有二：初、明戒師有慧無信不應從受；次、明戒師有其六蔽不修六度不應從受。

From 'Furthermore, bodhisattvas do not [receive] from everyone' onward, the third part re-explains the expedients for receiving the precepts. Because these are the remote expedients, they are placed behind. Therein are three parts: first, selecting the preceptor; next, explaining that the person established in the precepts bestows the teaching according to capacity; last, explaining the master's selection of disciples. In the first there are two: first, explaining that if the preceptor has wisdom but lacks faith, one should not receive them from him; next, explaining that if the preceptor has the six hindrances and does not cultivate the six perfections, one should not receive them from him.
