釋名中，景云：自無憤勃不報他怨者，於怨能忍也。亦不隨眠流注恒續者，設暫起瞋不久相續。測云：自無憤等，明無上心。亦不隨眠等，明種子斷。

In explaining the name, Jing says: 'Self-free from indignation and not retaliating against others' hostility' refers to being able to endure hostility. 'Nor does the flow of latent proclivities continuously persist' means that even if anger temporarily arises, it does not continue for long. Ce says: 'Self-free from indignation, etc.' clarifies the absence of manifest mental activity. 'Nor does the flow of latent proclivities, etc.' clarifies the eradication of seeds.
