說差別者，謂諸菩薩乃至故名利行者，景云：愛語汎說理教果法，今利行中隨機正授大乘之行令其修習名為利門，故與愛語為別。測云：前直說法，今將此法勸物起修，名餘差別也。

Regarding the explanation of differences, 'that is, bodhisattvas... and so forth up to... hence called beneficial action': Jing states: Pleasant speech generally teaches the principle, doctrine, and fruition dharmas; here in beneficial action, according to one's faculties, directly conferring the practices of the Mahāyāna and causing them to cultivate them is called the approach of benefit, which is why it differs from pleasant speech. Ce states: Previously one simply preached the Dharma; now one takes this Dharma to encourage beings to undertake cultivation; this is called the other distinction.
