10.87

自下答中，先答初後二問，後答第二說之方，非謂諸菩薩正所應求即是所說者，即菩提涅槃所應求處為此菩提涅槃而為他說。

In the replies below, it first answers the first and last two questions, and later answers the second, on the method of preaching. "It does not mean that what bodhisattvas properly ought to seek is itself what is preached": it is bodhi and nirvāṇa that are the places to be sought, and for the sake of this bodhi and nirvāṇa he preaches to others.
