'Jing says: Speaking of 'regarding the world' is precisely contemplating suffering. 'Regarding the origin of the world' and 'regarding the cessation of the world' are precisely contemplating origin and cessation. 'Regarding the practice leading to the origin of the world' is contemplating feeling (vedanā). Conditioned by feeling, craving arises; craving is the essence of origin, and feeling is the practice of leading to origin; elsewhere they only perform seven contemplations and do not contemplate feeling. 'Regarding the practice leading to the cessation of the world' is contemplating the path. 'Gratification' is contemplating origin again. 'Danger' is contemplating suffering again. 'And departure' is contemplating cessation again. It omits contemplating the path again, because the contemplating mind is itself the path. Because origin is the root of saṃsāra, it is contemplated three times.
