In unobstructed knowledge of eloquence, 'in all dharmas and all varieties': the faculties of the trainees addressed and the karmas that can be initiated are diverse and not one, hence they are called 'varieties'. Both faculties and karmas have as-many-as-exist-ness and as-it-exists-ness, which can be known through analysis. Ji says: Dharma is the teaching that can express; the wisdom that can express is the substance of the unobstructed knowledge of dharma. The comprehension of unobstructed meaning is the meaning expressed under the former dharma. Therefore, within the expressing dharma there is the phrasing 'diverse approaches', while within the expressed meaning there is the distinct discussion of 'diverse characteristics'. Obtaining gnosis regarding that which expresses is called unobstructed knowledge of dharma; obtaining mastery regarding that which is expressed is called unobstructed knowledge of meaning.
