發心願者，準對法論發心有二：一、總；二、別。今此初發心則是總也。
As for the aspiration to arouse the [bodhi-]mind: according to the *Abhidharmasamuccaya*, arousing the mind is twofold: first, general; second, specific. Here, this initial arousing of the mind is the general one.
