下文以定慧為性。若唯剋體是慧，以定發之，慧勝故並從勝發，同時而行言定。此五種皆由依行六度成就此五種入菩薩相也。

The text below takes concentration and wisdom as its nature. If strictly isolated in essence, it is wisdom; initiated by concentration, since wisdom is superior, they both arise from what is superior, and acting simultaneously is called concentration. All five kinds result from practicing the six perfections, accomplishing these five kinds of marks for entering the bodhisattva status.
