11.4

上來七品明自利利他自分行訖，自下二品明其勝進。於中初供養品總明自利利他隨緣造修之行，後菩提分品明其內證之行。今此品中廣明供養三寶親近善友修四無量故以題名，文中先問後答，答中初舉頌開三章門，後依門辯釋即為三段。

The preceding seven chapters completed the explanation of the practices of one's own stage for one's own benefit and the benefit of others; the two chapters below explain their superior progress. Therein, the initial Chapter on Offerings generally explains the practice of cultivating according to conditions for one's own benefit and the benefit of others; the subsequent Chapter on the Factors of Awakening explains the practice of internal realization. Now, in this chapter, it extensively explains making offerings to the Three Jewels, associating with good spiritual friends, and cultivating the four immeasurables; hence it is named accordingly. In the text, there is first a question and then an answer. In the answer, it first cites verses to open three headings, and then analyzes and explains them according to the headings, which forms three sections.
