11.79

次解大義，由四緣故悲名大悲等者，若悲在四無量名悲不名大悲，尚與聲聞共，初地以去菩薩亦有，若悲名大悲唯在佛地及第十地。

Next, explaining the meaning of 'great': regarding 'compassion is called great compassion due to four conditions' and so forth, if compassion is among the four immeasurables, it is called compassion and not great compassion; it is still shared with the śrāvakas, and bodhisattvas from the first bhūmi onward also possess it. If compassion is called great compassion, it resides only on the Buddha-ground and the tenth bhūmi.
