答曰：若隨所治怖畏無量能治無畏亦有無量，今隨自他智斷興難，為通彼難故略明四。此中前二無畏通前二難即是自安名為自利，後二無畏通後二難是安弟子名為利他。

The answer is: if following what is countered, fears are immeasurable, and the fearlessnesses that can counter them are also immeasurable; here, following the objections raised regarding the knowledge and abandonment of self and other, in order to resolve those objections, four are explained in brief. Among these, the first two fearlessnesses resolve the first two objections, which is securing oneself and named benefiting oneself; the latter two fearlessnesses resolve the latter two objections, which is securing the disciples and named benefiting others.
