12.55

下釋會名中，言菩提分法如實知焰，能成正法教慧照明等者，景云：於四地中修道品智名焰，能立教智名慧，名焰慧地。基云：謂正法教是所照，此智能照正法教故名焰慧地。

Below, in explaining the confluence of names, regarding 'the flame of knowing the factors of awakening as they truly are, capable of illuminating through the wisdom of teaching the true Dharma, and so forth': Jing says: 'In the fourth stage, the gnosis of cultivating the factors of the path is called "flame", and the gnosis capable of establishing teachings is called "wisdom"; hence it is called the Stage of Radiant Wisdom (Arciṣmatī-bhūmi).' Ji says: 'The teachings of the true Dharma are what is illuminated; because this gnosis can illuminate the teachings of the true Dharma, it is called the Stage of Radiant Wisdom.'
