義曰：以相見及第四分於自證分上差別建立，今以種子是所緣故故於見分上立，自證分為能緣故不於上建立。

The meaning is: Because the mark-aspect, seeing-aspect, and fourth aspect are distinctively established upon the self-witnessing aspect, now, because seeds are intentional objects, they are established upon the seeing-aspect; since the self-witnessing aspect is the cognizer, they are not established upon it.
