The explanation states: It is not so. Although the eighth takes the higher container as an intentional object, there is the direct and the indirect: that of the desire realm is direct, arising from karmic fruition; that of higher realms is indirect, not arising from karmic fruition. Since the seventh takes the seeing-aspect of the eighth as self, the mark-object produced and born of karma—the direct mark-aspect—is the container of the desire realm. What is 'mine' must follow the 'self'; since the self is bound to the desire realm, what belongs to it should also be so; therefore, it is not an anusaya directed toward another realm.
