問：如此處業還滅此處界，如斷界死生上界，即此界業盡故生，若未盡如何生上界，若盡何故生上界猶緣下界外器，此外器若生上界猶緣，此外器界應永不盡？

Question: If the karma of this place is extinguished in this place and realm, as when one severs the realm at death and is born in an upper realm, one is born precisely because the karma of this realm is exhausted; if it is not exhausted, how could one be born in an upper realm? If it is exhausted, why is it that when born in an upper realm one still takes the external vessel of the lower realm as an object? If this external vessel is still taken as an object when one is born in an upper realm, should this external vessel realm never be exhausted?
