13.150

義曰：若在上界不緣下界，其理無妨。然欲界人天何時造彼業者，此若人天所感之業，必是善感，以人天不受彼生；若惡感招必定受生，加以別惡業等，故於此中無妨。如見糞計名為美食，其理如此。

The reasoning is: If one in an upper realm does not cognize a lower realm, the logic presents no problem. But when do humans and devas of the Desire Realm create that karma? If this is karma induced by humans and devas, it must be induced by wholesome karma, since humans and devas do not undergo that birth; if it is induced by evil, they will certainly undergo birth, with the addition of distinct evil karmas, etc. Therefore, herein there is no problem. It is like seeing dung and conceptually taking it as delicious food; the principle is like this.
