13.24

就第一門中有三：第一、決擇心意識義；第二、約成就四句；第三、問答辨。前中復三：初、牒前已明而興三問；次依問正答；後結。問中復三：初牒前本識為所決擇；二、開三問端為問由致；三、正設三問合興決擇。

Within the first gate, there are three parts: first, determining the meaning of mind, intellect, and consciousness; second, the four alternatives regarding possession; third, distinguishing through questions and answers. In the former, there are again three parts: first, restating what was clarified earlier and raising three questions; second, properly answering according to the questions; third, concluding. In the question, there are again three parts: first, restating the earlier fundamental consciousness as that to be determined; second, opening the three topics of question as the reasons for the inquiry; third, properly posing the three questions to raise the determination together.
