Regarding the first five meanings: 'supported arising, which means that in the locus of the supporting primary elements there are other derived forms, etc.': when first receiving birth, the primary elements first exist and occupy their locus, and the remaining forms arise supported by the primary elements, which is called 'supported arising'. 'It is the meaning of holding them in the same locus': this explains its meaning of 'derivation/creating'—the earth element holds the forms of the same locus, hence it is termed 'creating/deriving'. Furthermore, from 'if in this accumulation of form...' to '...having and not having signs': this generally distinguishes existence and non-existence, meaning that if within a form-agglomeration there is the earth element or other elements, as well as derived forms—either faculties or sense data—then those dharmas exist; if within a form-agglomeration there is only one primary element without the other three, and without other derived forms, then those dharmas do not exist.
