三、明聲體間斷，頓起如光，泰云：附質大造，又解，離質外聲，但質外大造。
The third section explains that the substance of sound is intermittent and arises abruptly like light. Tai says: 'It is derived from elements attached to the material substance.' Another explanation says: 'Sound outside and detached from the material substance is merely derived from elements outside the substance.'
