測述三藏云：何故二論不同者？以入涅槃路非一眾多，或有有情依對法論約觀能所取作十六觀，或有有情依止大論約觀上下行諦作十六觀。

Ce recounted the Tripiṭaka Master's words: Why are the two treatises not the same? Because the paths entering nirvāṇa are not one but manifold: some sentient beings, relying on the Abhidharmasamuccaya, perform sixteen contemplations in terms of contemplating the grasper and the grasped; other sentient beings, relying on the Great Treatise, perform sixteen contemplations in terms of contemplating the higher and lower active truths.
