三無心中,無想定,云:先於此,後於色界等者,景云:欲界初起者不定感報,色界後起方始感報,捨色界身方生無想,如五十三云:下品修者現法必退等,明知欲界初起遇緣退失不定得果。

Among the three mindless states, regarding the absorption without ideation (asaṃjñi-samāpatti), where it says "first in this [realm], and later in the form realm," etc., Jing says: That which is first aroused in the desire realm does not definitely bring retribution; only when later aroused in the form realm does it begin to bring retribution; only upon relinquishing the body of the form realm is one born in [the heaven of] non-ideation. As fascicle 53 says: "those of inferior cultivation will certainly regress in the present life," etc., making it clear that when first aroused in the desire realm, encountering conditions causes regression and loss, and the fruition is not definitely obtained.
