內外問中，六處並屬彼義，是內取者，內六根並取屬五色根符根四塵及內聲。又取屬意根受想行蘊並定自在色，故云也。一蘊一分，是外者，色蘊中但取非情五塵，故云一分。

In the question on internal and external, "the six bases all belong to that meaning, being internal grasping" means: the six internal faculties all grasp and belong to the five material faculties, their conforming sense-data, and internal sound. Moreover, they grasp and belong to the mental faculty, the aggregates of feeling, perception, and conditioning factors, and form endowed with mastery in meditative concentration; hence it is stated thus. "One aggregate and one portion are external" means: within the form aggregate, only insentient five sense-data are taken; hence it says "one portion."
