三、釋立界意，為顯因緣義立十八界，界名為正取十八界種。及顯根境受用義者，根即六根，境即六境，受用即六識違順苦樂等。

Third, explaining the intention of establishing the elements: to reveal the meaning of causes and conditions, the eighteen elements are established; the name 'element' properly refers to the seeds of the eighteen elements. As for revealing the meaning of faculties, objects, and experiential enjoyment: the faculties are the six faculties; the objects are the six objects; experiential enjoyment is the six consciousnesses' encountering agreeable and disagreeable, suffering and pleasure, and so on.
