述曰：現在色塵先入過去，未來眼根入現在，現在眼根入過去已，不能緣過去，又現在無識之根與色俱入過去，不能緣過去境。

The commentary states: The present matter-object enters the past first; the future eye faculty enters the present; and after the present eye faculty has entered the past, it cannot take the past as its object. Moreover, a present faculty devoid of consciousness enters the past together with matter, and cannot take past objects as its object.
