十四、三斷門。十四、一分見所斷，一分修所斷者，除八善根，餘十四根中七色及命。若惡趣根是見斷，善趣根是修斷，五受及意根。若是惡趣因或是惡趣果，是見斷。若是善趣因或是善趣果是修斷，十二乃至謂十四中六者五受及意，及餘六者信等五及未知根。前六中若惡趣苦根是見斷善趣苦根是修斷，無學身中苦是不斷。若不善憂根與見惑相應是見斷，與修惑相應及善憂根是修斷，喜樂捨及意根與見惑相應是見斷，與修惑相應是修斷，無漏是不斷，餘六有漏修斷，無漏是不斷故。

14. The section on the three abandonments: Fourteen are partially abandoned by seeing and partially abandoned by cultivation: excluding the eight wholesome faculties, of the remaining fourteen faculties, there are the seven physical ones and the life faculty. If they are faculties of the wretched destinies, they are abandoned by seeing; if they are faculties of good destinies, they are abandoned by cultivation. Regarding the five feelings and the mind faculty: if they are causes of wretched destinies or results of wretched destinies, they are abandoned by seeing; if they are causes of good destinies or results of good destinies, they are abandoned by cultivation. Twelve, and so forth, refers to six among the fourteen—namely, the five feelings and mind—and the other six—namely, the five beginning with faith and the faculty of unknown-to-be-known. Among the first six, if the suffering faculty is of the wretched destinies, it is abandoned by seeing; if the suffering faculty is of good destinies, it is abandoned by cultivation; suffering in the body of one beyond training is non-abandoned. If the unwholesome grief faculty is associated with afflictions [abandoned by] seeing, it is abandoned by seeing; if associated with afflictions [abandoned by] cultivation, as well as the wholesome grief faculty, it is abandoned by cultivation. Joy, pleasure, equanimity, and the mind faculty, when associated with afflictions [abandoned by] seeing, are abandoned by seeing; when associated with afflictions [abandoned by] cultivation, they are abandoned by cultivation; taintless ones are non-abandoned. As for the remaining six: the tainted are abandoned by cultivation, and the taintless are non-abandoned.
