中二果捨，景云：此說依第十六心已知根得預流果時，捨前十五心未知根。據實得果即在真見道斷見惑盡爾時得果，以真見道無相難知。故在相見道第十六心判立初果，越證中二亦在此時。

Regarding the renunciation in the middle two fruitions, Master Jing says: 'This speaks of relying on the faculty of one who already knows in the sixteenth mental moment when attaining the stream-enterer fruit, at which time one renounces the faculty of one who does not yet know of the preceding fifteen mental moments. If judged according to actuality, the attainment of the fruit occurs precisely at the moment when the delusions of seeing are completely severed in the true path of seeing; it is at that time that the fruit is attained. Because the true path of seeing is signless and difficult to know, the establishment of the first fruit is determined at the sixteenth mental moment of the path of seeing with signs; skipping over to realize the middle two [fruitions] also occurs at this time.'
